Return Policy
For furniture and homeware items:
- If purchased online or collected and paid for in-store (excluding specified products),
- Alongside available remedies within the Future Warranty and applicable statutes (like the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 – ‘New Zealand Consumer Law’), • You have a 30-day return window from the purchase date for in-store buys or delivery for online purchases. This allows for a refund or exchange if:
- The product is in its original condition.
- It’s in its original, unopened, and sealed packaging.
- It’s accompanied by proof of purchase (like a sales receipt).
Excluded products include:
- Upholstered and furniture items.
- Mattresses. • Clearance items.
- Products marked as seconds, floor models, repaired, or those with known defects before purchase.
- Made-to-order items, specifically customized or tailored for a customer.
Customers are responsible for the cost and risk of posted items. Future Furniture won’t refund products it doesn’t receive or those received in a damaged state. Adequate packaging is advised for posted items.
Unless specified above, Future Furniture won’t provide refunds, exchanges, or order cancellations due to a change of mind unless exercised at Future Furniture’s discretion.
If a refund or exchange is permitted due to a change of mind, a reasonable cancellation charge might be requested to cover storage fees or any product markdowns. The amount will be communicated in advance. Should you proceed:
- Any refund will deduct the cancellation charge.
- If the charge surpasses your payment, an invoice for the outstanding amount will be issued.
